While Core 1 (220-1101) focuses on physical components and networking, the CompTIA A+ 220-1202 exam (Core 2) measures your ability to work with operating systems, security, software troubleshooting, and IT procedures. A CompTIA A+ 1202 practice test is the most effective way to prepare, giving you a chance to apply theory to real exam-style questions before the actual test.
Unlike Core 1 (220-1201), which emphasizes hardware, Core 2 (220-1202) goes deeper into the “software and people” side of IT. Our practice test is designed to reflect these real-world challenges.
The practice test replicates the official exam environment with:
This way, when you sit for the real Core 2 exam, nothing feels unfamiliar.
Reading and reviewing alone won’t tell you where you actually stand. That’s why our CompTIA A+ 1202 practice test is designed to measure your readiness in real time. When you sit down for practice, you’re doing more than clicking through questions:
This practice test focuses on Core 2, but for full coverage, combine it with our CompTIA A+ practice test to prepare for the complete certification.
Our practice exam offers a full 90-question set, the same number you’ll face on the real test. The official Core 2 exam also includes up to 90 questions, mixing multiple-choice, drag-and-drop, and performance-based tasks, all to be completed within 90 minutes.
To pass, you’ll need a scaled score of 700 (out of 900). This usually means answering around 72–75% of the questions correctly. Because CompTIA uses scaled scoring, the exact number may vary, but targeting at least three-quarters correct is a safe benchmark.
