Free TASC Reading Practice Test Questions 2025

The TASC Writing Test evaluates your writing skills in two ways. Firstly, anticipate approximately 55 minutes to complete 50 language-skills assessment items. These inquiries will focus on abilities like:
  • creating sentences
  • employing proper syntax
  • selecting the right words
  • structuring ideas into paragraphs
  • linking concepts
Secondly, write one essay in response to a passage or two within the allotted time of about fifty minutes. Following your reading of the passage or passages, you will need to prepare an essay in which you either clarify a point from the passage(s) or present evidence in favor of one side of an argument against the other. You will compose your essay on paper if you plan to take the TASC exam on paper. You will enter your essay into a box on the screen if you are taking the test on a computer. You won't have access to grammar and spelling checkers on the computer-based TASC exam. As a result, before the test, practice your grammar and spelling. But as long as you don't let a few slight spelling or grammar mistakes take away from the significance of your essay, they won't automatically destroy your grade. You'll need the ability to construct coherent phrases and paragraphs, the ability to compose the essay, and the ability to proofread your work and fix any grammar or use errors. Note that you will benefit from practicing the techniques you use for the multiple-choice questions when you edit your essay for the TASC Writing Test. Once you've gotten to know the TASC's structure, try out our TASC practice test.
